Wildcrafting in Mazama

We headed over to Mazama for the weekend to recharge and do some wild crafting. The air was crisp and the sound of the river made for a perfect setting to build a Pine Wreath.

First we gathered plenty of Pine Boughs, some with Pine Cones still attached.................
Then we started wiring the Pine Boughs on the wreath base working our way around.............

Here we are wiring
boughs around
the wreath base.
This is a large base
about 30 inches which
makes about a 36
inch wreath when
completed.

Here is the completed Pine Bough Wreath!
Makes a beautiful Holiday statement, hung outside the wreath will last through the season.
We'll have a few of these at our upcoming vintage sale,  2nd Saturdayz...hope to see you there!

I was so lucky to spend this rainy Thursday in Arlington at Circle Creek Home learning the fine art of wreath making. Of course first I had to do the tour of the shop and see what new treasures they are working on. As I was checking out a few of their cool vintage finds it hits you, the aroma of the handmade soaps curing on racks it’s like opening the door to a five star spa, ahhhhhhhhh “Peppermint Tea Tree”, I think I’m in love.

Soon Brenda and I were trimming and gathering materials. We set up on their covered deck overlooking the creek and got busy. An hour later "voila" a beautiful wreath lay before me! I had so much fun and of course I could not leave without shopping. What a great day; 1 wreath, 2 vintage loaf pans and a memorable afternoon. Thanks Brenda & John you inspire me!
